I spent more last month on film festival entries than food, but all that work paid off this week with 2 film festival selections. Sadly it looks like I wont be attending either but it’s still very exciting. I really wish I could go to both, Coolangatta is such a beautiful spot and I’ve never been to Italy before.

It will be Popcorn Love’s Australian premiere beating the Focus On Ability Film Festival in Sydney by a couple of weeks where it is also screening as a finalist.

Melanie’s Story premiered in France in September, now it’s selected for the Altavilla Film Fest in Italy. It’s on the same weekend as the Focus on Ability Short Film Festival. Which one should I go to? Which one would you chose to go to?

I also received 21 not selected emails last month. It would be easy to enter many more but I choose carefully the film festivals that my films are best suited to and then there is the budget constraints.

The other big news is that NHAF is releasing a different version of Popcorn Love tomorrow on Rumble and Odysee.
