Flashback Fridays 17

Each week this month I will be featuring one of the authors that helped me through my childhood.

The first author that consumed a lot of hours of my school years was Edward Stratemeyer although I didn’t discover this until more recently.  Growing up  I thought it was  Franklin W. Dixon until I found out that was a ghost name and there was actually many authors writing behind that one collective pseudonym.

Edward Stratemeyer was the original creator of the characters.

As soon as I finished reading one book I remember opening the cover of the next book.  Sometimes reading a book a night fighting off sleep until I’d finished.   There was something about Frank and Joe working together pooling their strengths to solve the cases that really appealed to me. I read every book the library could get me.

Which author shaped your childhood?
