Identity (Who Am I?) Officially Selected

One of the benefits of creating something is once it’s created it’s available for others to appreciate as long as a copy of your creation is available. Over 3 years ago I created a short film “Identity (Who Am I?)”. I learned while I was creating it the skills I needed to complete it. I used software that though it could produce videos it was designed for editing still images, it was what I had. I used videos I already had on my hard drive because I was living in agony after a recent accident that sadly three years later I’m still recovering from due to the gross negligence of the hospital I went to after the accident. I was also enduring the pain of living with an extremely abusive person.

Despite all that I managed to not only complete my 3 minute 38 second film but have it selected in the 2023 Focus On Ability Short Film Festival Australian Open Documentary Category. I didn’t win anything and I’ve not done much with it since. But after having my more recent short film “F.O.A” win an audience choice award in the final Lift Off Network Sessions for 2025 and “WUITAB” selected in the features category of Sessions 1 for 2026 I thought I should dust off some of my earlier work and see what happens. Last night I received the email saying “Identity (Who Am I?)” was officially selected for Sessions 3.

Online voting for “Identity (Who Am I?)” is from the 9th March – 22nd March 2026. Link to vote available soon.
