Tuesday Tunes 51

A new month, a new album and over the half way mark of project 104. It was so much fun creating Endless Refrain’s new album “Christmas in July”. If you live in the northern hemisphere it may be a custom you aren’t familiar with. For those in the southern hemisphere it’s a chance to experience Christmas in winter rather than in summer. Plus it’s a bonus Christmas. The album features some classic Christmas songs you’ll have undoubtedly heard before though not like this and some originals I wrote for last Christmas and this album.

Continuing the Tuesday video release schedule the track on side A each week will be a classic Christmas song. While the track on side B each week will be a new original Christmas song. The full album will be available 14th July. It was a thought to change it to the 24th or 25th just for this month but sticking to the regular monthly schedule was the final decision.

The track on side A this week is “Oh Holy Night V Silent Night” it’s a mashup of the two songs. The recording of it meant the version of “Silent Night” that had already been recorded for the album ended up being dropped from the set list.

The track on side B this week is “Christmas Down Under”. It’s one of the funnest songs I’ve penned. Depicting what an Australian Christmas in Summer is like compared to the Christmas scenes we regularly see through the media of northern hemisphere white Christmas’s.

Next week you can look forward to “Angels Can You Hear This One” and “Three, Two, One, Christmas” on Tuesday. Then you can listen to the full album on the 14th. Collectors of Endless Refrain’s songs on sound.xyz will continue to get early access to the album. Enjoy “Christmas In July”.
