Memory Making Mondays 16

I realised today that my camera was about to turn one year old.  Now to some that may seem like a fickle thought but the journey we have been on together this year has been an extraordinary one.

I had been researching what to upgrade to for some time before this purchase and was still deliberating on which way to go.  Then I wandered into a store during it’s Australia day sale and saw a camera at a price for it’s specs I couldn’t say no too.  I asked them to put it on hold and I would be back first thing the next morning.  I went home and madly started reviewing the specs, the reviews the feedback anything I could find online telling me not to buy this camera.  In the end I could not find a reason not too, for the features at the price it was on sale for I bought the bullet and paid for it as soon as the store opened the next morning.

It’s been an interesting journey learning what it is capable of these last 12 months.  What I didn’t expect 12 months later was to find a full submenu set that I had previously missed and will have a lot of fun exploring in the days and weeks ahead.

So whatever level of photography you are at, it’s not a matter of how much you spend on your camera, it’s a matter of how much time you spend getting to know it.

If you would like to see some of the shots I have taken in the last 12 months head on over and check out my latest work.   You can also follow on facebook.
