I’m sure you’ve heard more than once before when your insurance is due to check to see if you can get a better deal.
Well this year I called a competitor to see if I could get a better rate. Well as it turned out they were double the price, but I did get myself into the draw for a holiday (fingers crossed). So I called my insurance company to see if they would lower the premium even though I didn’t have a better quote elsewhere. They couldn’t so then I asked if the agreed value on my vechicle could be increased without the premium going up. Well guess what after a minute on hold I had increased my insurance coverage by 20% with a 0% increase in my premium. Now that’s what I call a worth while phone call. Hopefully I never have to use it but if I do it’s a little more peace of mind.
p.s. I learned the hard way years ago to always insure for agreed value, I’ll leave my market value story for another week.
