Tuesday Tunes 004

Week four in this series of sharing song lyrics I’ve written before they’ve been recorded as a song.

This one I wrote a couple of months ago. Have you ever thought of the legacy you will leave behind?

Salvation’s Call

(Verse 1)
In a world lost and broken, salvation’s call resounds,
His sacrifice perfect, his love profound.
He seeks to save the souls astray,
To guide us back to the narrow way.

(Chorus)
Salvation’s call, it echoes strong,
To be His voice, to right the wrong,
Speak the truth, in love we stand,
Even if it costs us all, we’ll follow His command.

(Verse 2)
Called to be the light in a world so dim,
To share His love, let it overflow from within,
In every word we speak, in every deed we do,
May His grace and mercy shine through.

(Chorus)
Salvation’s call, it echoes strong,
To be His voice, to right the wrong,
Speak the truth, in love we stand,
Even if it costs us all, we’ll follow His command.

(Bridge)
Not just empty words, but actions true,
To show the difference He has made in you,
With open arms, we’ll welcome the lost,
Pointing to the cross, no matter the cost.

(Verse 3)
In the face of loss, income, family, or friends,
We’ll stand firm, our faith will not bend,
For the greatest treasure we have found,
Is the salvation in Christ, forever bound.

(Chorus)
Salvation’s call, it echoes strong,
To be His voice, to right the wrong,
Speak the truth, in love we stand,
Even if it costs us all, we’ll follow His command.

(Outro)
Oh, the peace of living in His saving grace,
A testament to His redeeming embrace,
With grateful hearts, we’ll forever be,
Messengers of hope, setting captives free.

Have you ever had a special something from a loved one they you held onto after they were gone?

Red sweater (Version One)

(Verse 1)
I gave you that red sweater, a symbol of our love,
A gift on Christmas, our union blessed from above,
Through the years it adorned you, a thread of memories,
Through toil and strife, it remained, a symbol of unity.

(Pre-Chorus)
Our children’s messes stained it, and grandchildren’s too,
You washed and cared for it, with love that always grew,
That red sweater, a testament to the life we shared,
It warmed your body, just as you warmed my heart, I swear.

(Chorus)
But now you lie here, cold to touch, as white as snow,
And I’ll keep that red sweater, where memories will glow,
Until we meet again, my love, in a realm afar,
I’ll hold it close to my heart, preserving love’s memoir.

(Verse 2)
Each thread that wove through our lives, a bond unbreakable,
That red sweater, a symbol, our connection palpable,
Through joys and sorrows, it wrapped us in its embrace,
A reminder of the love that time can never erase.

(Bridge)
As I lay here where you slept, memories flood my mind,
The laughter, tears, and moments, in that red sweater, bind,
Though you’ve transcended this world, your love forever near,
I’ll keep that red sweater, as a testament so dear.

(Chorus)
But now you lie here, cold to touch, as white as snow,
And I’ll keep that red sweater, where memories will glow,
Until we meet again, my love, in a realm afar,
I’ll hold it close to my heart, preserving love’s memoir.

(Outro)
So, as I walk through life’s seasons, and face each passing day,
That red sweater will be my solace, warming me on the way,
Until we reunite, my love, beneath the eternal star,
I’ll keep your memory alive, with that cherished red sweater.

What’s a topic you would like to hear a song on that you never have?
