Only a week away from Tuesday Tunes turning 70. 9 days away from Endless Refrain’s 11th album release “Still Standing”. To say it’s been a massive year would be an understatement. With the 12th and final album of the year “We Made It” already produced I am feeling a massive sense of relief. I’m also feeling (not sure of the correct word) as I know after I create the videos for “We Made It” that Project 104 will be complete.
I can already tell you I won’t be repeating this insane workload next year. There are some Endless Refrain albums planned but with more time to create and then enjoy them before moving onto the next one. I also want to breathe new life into some old projects. I also have multiple new projects I would like to share with you.
This months album “Still Standing” along with “Octagon” have been released after “9” although they were created before “9”. “9” took a bit of extra work and it all came together at the last minute but while it wasn’t happening, work continued on “Octagon” and “Still Standing”. Having had this album finished for so long it feels good to be able to finally share the songs and videos with you.
The video released this morning from “Still Standing” was “3 Billion”. If you’ve been following my Tuesday Tunes series from last year it may sound familiar. I first released it as a spoken word video in 2023.
I can remember the night I filmed those stars as easily as I can remember more recently filming the sunrise for Endless Refrain’s music videos.

If you watch all the videos from “Still Standing” one after the other you can watch the sunrise as I did. You won’t get to feel how cold it was, or smell the salt air, but you can watch the colours on the horizon change.
The video released tonight from “Still Standing” was “A Dusty Treasure Chest”. It also started life in 2023 as a spoken word video.
One of the hardest parts of making the spoken word videos last year was finding music that worked with my words. It still feels surreal to now be hearing words I penned last year, sung as I dreamt of when I wrote them.

Can you correctly guess which shipwreck is featured in all the videos for “Still Standing”? 6 more videos are scheduled to premiere every Tuesday over the next 3 weeks. The album hits streaming platforms 14.11.2024. The physical album is already available for pre order. Those that have previously collected Endless Refrain’s songs on Sound.xyz can already listen to the entire album in the exclusive presale.
Till next week may you continue to find reasons to remain “Still Standing”.
